California's Proposition 65 Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986

In order to prevent the exposure of the human body to known toxic chemicals, the act states:
1. Drinking water sources are to be protected from being contaminated with chemicals known to be toxic (environmental protection).
2. Because of the proposition to prevent the exposure of the human body to known toxic chemicals becoming law in California, USA in November 1986, businesses are prohibited from knowingly exposing individuals to listed substances without first providing a clear and reꦉasonable warning.
